Ford Americas & Global Marketplaces Group President Kumar Galhotra discusses U.S. production and its financial investment in setting up an all-electric powered F-150 in the coming decades.
Ford is likely major on electrics, but not big electrical vans. At the very least not however.
Kumar Galhotra, Ford president, Americas & International Markets Team, informed a Credit rating Suisse forum on Monday that “at the second, we do not have any options to go into large-responsibility with battery-electric cars.”

Ford will introduce an all-electric gentle-obligation F-150 pickup in the coming decades and is scheduled to unveil a battery-run version of its Transit commercial van on Nov. 12, but a zero-emissions F-Series Super Duty (F-250, F-350, F-450) has not been declared.
“Our objective is to create a successful electric automobile portfolio,” Ford CFO John Lawler extra, the Detroit Cost-free Press noted.
“To do that, we need to have to leverage our strengths and the scale that we have. We’re staying very strategic about the platforms that we pick.”
Electrical F-150 WILL BE THE MOST Strong Design
In contrast to the approaching GMC HUMMER EV pickup, which will be created on a committed electric powered auto chassis that will later on spawn other products across GM’s makes, the electric F-150 and Transit will share their platforms with interior combustion engine products.
